The Heat's Ray Allen started in place of Dwyane Wade in the second half of Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. Wade seemed to injure his right leg late in the first quarter, but returned, finishing with six points on seven shots as the Spurs led by seven at halftime.
Wade has been hampered throughout the season and playoffs with a bruised knee after banging knees in several games. He was forced to use a new treatment invovling heat pads in Game 4.
Wade returned at the 9:32 mark of the third quarter. No official explanation was given for Wade's tardiness to the second half. It could have been wardrobe-related, could have been a bodily fluids issue, or treatment. We'll update more as news presents itself.
